SCIENCE PROGRAM OPPORTUNITIES

Science North, Northern Ontario’s most popular tourist attraction is looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join its team. Internationally renowned for its personal approach to science education and its friendly resident Bluecoats, the Science Centre is filled with fun and imagination.

Science North provides services in both official languages; some positions may require fluency in French and English. All positions involve variable hours and schedules and all positions require excellent communication and customer service skills, strong interpersonal skills and First Aid Certification.

Immediate start dates for individuals with daytime and/or March Break availability with opportunity for on-going employment through spring, summer and beyond with flexible hours.

Position Descriptions

Exhibit Areas - Job Number – 1-001
Science Centre personnel participate in the development and delivery of science programs for a variety of audiences, they engage visitors in activities in the science areas and support the science program team. Interested candidates must have a keen interest in science, excellent communication skills, the ability to work well in a team environment and the capacity to engage visitors of all ages in exhibits and activities.  

Dynamic Earth  - Job Number 1-003
Science personnel at Dynamic Earth act as tour guides for the underground experience as well as a variety of other roles including acting as exhibit hosts and outdoor interpreters, engaging visitors in exhibits and ensuring a quality visitor experience. Candidates must enjoy working with the public, have excellent communications skills, an interest in science, the ability to work independently in a changing environment and demonstrated experience working with a team.
