Born To Be Wild 3D A POPULAR CHOICE!

See it Now at the IMAX Film Festival

SUDBURY, ON - Born to Be Wild 3D, the documentary adventure produced by IMAX® Corporation and Warner Bros. Pictures, and directed by Science North’s David Lickley, has crossed the $20 million threshold at the global box office, exclusively in IMAX® theatres, since it opened in April of 2011.  You have a second chance to see it at Science North as it’s currently part of the IMAX Festival lineup, and proving to be one of the festival favourites!
Also popular at this year’s festival,  North of Superior, the first film shot in Canada with IMAX technology, and whether you surf or not, The Ultimate Wave Tahiti 3D is a nice antidote to the winter blahs.  The marquee movie Shine a Light about legendary rockers, the Rolling Stones, and Titanica, about the famous ocean liner that sank 100 years ago, are also proving to be among the movie goers favourites this year.
“Nearly two thousand people have already checked out our line-up of 10 fabulous IMAX films”, says Christine Catt, Science North Marketing Specialist. “There’s something for the seasoned cinephile, as well as the younger movie goer at this year’s festival.”This year’s IMAX Film Festival runs until February 5.  For a complete festival film schedule and to reserve your tickets, go to sciencenorth.ca/imaxfestival.

The IMAX Festival at Science North is presented by CTV and supported by the Travelway Inn.  Special thanks to our film sponsors:  Q92, 105.3 EZ Rock, Rewind 103.9 FM, Hot 93. FM., KICX, Le Loup 98,9 FM, The Sudbury Star, Northern Life and Le Voyageur.
