SUDBURY, ON – Liberal MP for Westmount –Ville-Marie, Marc Garneau is set to take a guided tour of Canada’s second largest science centre.  Garneau, who made history as Canada’s first astronaut and the first Canadian in space, will visit Science North at 3 p.m. on Monday, August 31st.  

Members of the media are invited to take part in the tour, and take advantage of the opportunity to meet this Canadian astronaut, engineer and politician.  

Garneau, who served as president of the Canadian Space Agency has taken part in three flights aboard NASA space shuttles and logged 677 hours in space.  In 2006 he resigned from the Canadian Space Agency to pursue a career in politics.  He won his seat as MP for Westmount – Ville-Marie in the 2008 Federal Election.  For more information about Marc Garneau please visit
